WWW Wednesday (27/01/21)

Hey hey, BookNerds – It’s WWW Wednesday again! This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words. This week I have done a bit of a reversal and have resorted to a beloved series that I never had the pleasure of completing as a child/teen. So let’s dive in and see what I have been reading this week!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Yes my dear BookNerds, I am currently listening to/reading the PJO series! As a child, for some reason, I only read one or two books from this series, and watched the monstrosity of a movie. Since I haven’t been all too well, and have been busy studying, I decided to listen to the series since all the books are relatively easy, quick and short.

I forgot how amazing this series is and am so glad I am finally reading the whole thing, I do love Greek Mythology! Currently I am reading The Battle Of The Labyrinth, by Rick Riordan. Next up will be book 5 in the Percy Jackson Series.

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished my Sarah J Maas binge read. I finally completed the Throne Of Glass series and adored it! I am so glad I read this series, while it is far from perfect it was a brilliant read and a series that is now forever in my heart!

My hold for House Of Earth and Blood, Crescent City #1, by SJM came in and so I read that too. This is a little different from ToG and ACOTAR. This one is for an adult audience (Though so is ACOTAR because well, you know… and ToG seems to get more mature as it goes on) and it seems to blend magic and technology – a unique take on a more modern world. A fun read for sure, and I’ll likely continue with the series (If only to see more scenes like the hoover one) but I’m not 100% where I stand with it yet. A full review will come though!

Of course, I also just finished books 1, 2 and 3 in the PJO series. I forgot about the absolute sass that Percy embodies even as a 12 year old and have been delighted to revisit and start to complete this series.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Well, I go back to uni soon so my tbr will be smaller and I’ll be progressing through it at a much slower pace but I plan to read The Binding, by Bridget Collins when I feel a bit better and can properly focus on words.

I also plan to continue listening to Percy Jackson. However, this time I’ll be diving into the HoO series since audiobooks are perfect for when I feel a bit meh! And since I’m reading PJO I can hardly not read HoO as well!

So that was my reading week, how was yours? Let Me Know!

Happy Reading, BookNerds! 😊💜📚

  1. I’ve read everything that you’ve posted this week except for the Percy Jackson series. I’ve always wanted to read them though and I recently got the entire paperback set for £10 so they are not sitting on my shelf just waiting to be picked up. I’ve heard such good things so I am pretty excited!

    • Ooh, awesome – hope you enjoyed them all. I never got to read them all as a child but I am so glad that I finally picked them up. £10 is a great bargain! Can’t wait for you to pick them up, hope you love them (Honestly so good – the sass!!!) 💜
