Heyhey, BookNerds, Happy November! October was a bit of a slow month for me, especially with all my uni work this year. But, I did read some great books and managed to get up two Netgalley reviews! So let’s have a look at this short and sweet wrap-up!

Book Reviews!

Book Review: The Quicksilver Court (Rooks and Ruin #2), by Melissa Caruso – ⭐⭐⭐⭐(4 Stars) – Netgalley eARC – LGBTQ+ Rep – So TQC is the sequel to The Obsidian Tower (Rooks And Ruin #1), by Melissa Caruso and it was a delightful read! Ryx has been cast out of her home, demons are loose and now a strong magical artifact needs to be retrieved. This book really delves into the darker side of the story, and it was absolutely brilliant to see. I also love Ryx and the Rookery so I was so happy to read about them all again!

Mini Book Review: Gilded, by Marissa Meyer – ⭐⭐⭐⭐(4 Stars) – Netgalley eARC – Gilded is a Rumpelstiltskin retelling, so I very quickly snapped this up because retellings of this are not common! And I was thrilled, this is a dark fairytale that keeps you on your toes and has some beautiful story telling. I also really liked the stories made up by the main character, who was blessed by the God of stories and lies! Another great retelling from Meyer, I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Blog Posts!

So, that was my month! How was yours? Any new favourite reads?

Happy Reading, BookNerds! πŸ’œπŸ“šβœŒ
