Heyhey, BookNerds! I have a short and sweet wrap-up this month for you all! I only managed 3 books this month, which was incredibly unfortunate as I planned to read much much more before returning to university. But, unfortunately, my plans were not followed. However, I did get to read three books, two of which I loved! So let’s dive in to what September held for me!
- Library Audiobooks: 1
- Library ebooks: 1
- Netgalley eARC: 1
Books I Read:
- One Of Us Is Lying, by Karen M. McManus
- Gilded, by Marissa Meyer
- The Boy, the mole, the fox and the horse, by Charlie Mackesy
Book Review: The Devil Makes Three, by Tori Bovalino– ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 Stars)- Netgalley eARC – An intensely atmospheric YA horror/thriller that will send shivers down your spine. With dark academia vibes, a haunted library, and a touch of magic, this book is dark and beautifully intense. The Devil leaves a trail of blood and ink in his wake, and his sights are set on Tess.
Mini Book Review: One Of Us Is Lying, by Karen M. McManus – ⭐⭐(2 Stars) – A twist murder mystery with a mismatched crew of students as the suspects. When a death occurs during detention, the other students present become the prime sspects. But the investigation is biased and there are more secrets hidden beneath the surface.
Book Review: The Bone Ship’s Wake (The Tide Child #3), by RJ Barker – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐(5 Stars)– Netgalley eARC– A gorgeously dark and evocative conclusion to this absolutely astounding trilogy. The keyshans have been rising, Meas has been taken and the Tide Child Crew will do anything to get her back. But the prophecy fortells this journey as ending in death and fire – or will Lucky Meas’ crew defy fate itself? To the Maiden, the Mother, and the Hag.
