March TBR 2020

Last month I did stick to my TBR, I didn’t complete it all but I did read a lot of the books I planned to. This month I hope to be equally productive and hope to read as many of these books as possible! A lot of fantasy again this month, so let’s dive in!

The Devil’s Apprentice Series, books 2,3,4, by Kenneth B. Andersen. So last year I read the first book in this series for a blogtour for @The_WriteReads and so now I am reading books 2,3, and 4 too and I am really looking forward to seeing how the series plays out because I loved the first book!

The Rage Of Dragons, by Evan Winter. This book is an eARC from Netgalley/Little Brown Books/Orbit that I received and I have heard a lot about it. This book sounds absolutely fantastic and I am very exited to dig into it since it features swords, war and dragons – some of my favourite things to feature in fantasy! A lot of the views for this book have been very positive and I am very excited to see what I think of this myself. This definitely sounds like an epic, detailed, and rich fantasy and sounds exactly like the kind of book I love.

This book is likely to kick-start my March TBR as it is the earliest release and I want to try and review it for the publication date.

The Girl And The Stars, by Mark Lawrence. I saw this one up on netgalley, provided by HarperCollins UK (another eARC) and it sounded incredibly interesting. I have not actually read anything by this author yet so this will be my first read by him and it sounds like it will be a brilliant start. This is another fantasy choice on my list, not very surprising, but a lot of fantasy novels have caught my attention so far!

I have heard a lot of great things about this author and also about this book! It sounds like it will be a fanastic read. The synopsis definitely sounds promising and has, what seems like, a very unique and interesting concept and I am very interested in how it plays out.

Legacy Of Ash, by Matthew Ward. Another fantasy, I know. BUT, this is one that I have been anticipating for a while and actually thought I had missed the chance to get my hands on an eARC of this one and was impatiently waiting for a chance to get my hands on a library copy. Lucky for me, however, it went up on Netgalley (from Little brown/Orbit) a few weeks ago and I was super excited to request it (an I got approved much to my delight!) So, this one is one that I am thrilled to start, I have seen so much about it, a lot of praise and I cannot wait to dig into it!

This is the start of a triology about fallen empires, rising heroes and magic. Everything about this one sounds brilliant and promising!

The Sight Of You, by Holly Miller. This book has been on my eARC Netgalley TBR for a while, almost 3 months, as it has a later publication date than most of my other eARC reads. This is general fiction book that revolves around a romance. It isn’t classed as a romance as it doesn’t seem like it will have a HEA.

This one is a little outside of my usual genre choices but it sounds like a brilliant and emotional read and is one that has received a lot of love recently. I am interested to see what I think of this one as it sounds brilliant and heart-breaking. This will be a later read on my TBR due to the publication, but it is one I am definitely looking forward to it!

A Darker Shade Of Magic (Shades Of Magic Series), by V.E Schwab. So I started this series last month but didn’t manage to finish the first book as I fell into a minor slump so I will be trying to read the series alongside my eARC’s.

7 books are on my TBR that are ones I want to complete in order to reach specific targets. The other 3 are books that I want to read slowly alongside the more necessary reads. So, overall I have 10 books on my tbr, this year I haven’t managed to read this much in a month just yet but I will be trying to read as many of them as possible!

What is your most anticipated book on your tbr for this month? Let me know. Happy Reading BookNerds! 😊💜📚

  1. Nice TBR, I read Rage of Dragons last month and I did enjoy it but perhaps not quite as much as everyone else seems to.
Currently reading The Girls and the Stars, about half way through and liking it so far. I’m in the same boat as I’ve not read anything else by Mark Lawrence and am worried I’m missing out on things given it’s set in the same world as some of his previous novels.
Hope you get them all read!! 🙂

    • Thank you! Fair enough, I am not too far through but so far it is definitely intriguing.
Ooh, that’s good to hear I am excited about The Girl And The Stars! I think I saw someone say that it doesn’t take too much away from the novel if you haven’t read his other works, so hopefuly it will be fine.

Thank you!! Hope all your March reads are fantastic! 😊
