WWW Wednesday (19/02/20)

It’s WWW Wednesday again! This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words. Thought that I would let you know what I have been up to! I have read some amazing reads this week! Happy Reading BookNerds!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently, and finally, reading the Shades Of Magic Series, by VE Schwab! I have only just started the first book, but it feels like it will be a good read!

What did you recently finish reading?

So I just finished these three books. The Tattooist Of Auschwitz, by Heather Morris – which I have reviewed. A good book that is incredibly powerful and follows the story of one mans experience of Auscwitz.

The Glass Hotel, by Emily St John Mandel was the next that I finished. To be honest I found this relatively average (a review will go up closer to the publication date as this was an eARC provided via Netgalley). The writing is phenomenal but I felt a little let down in the end.

Red Rising, by Pierce Brown was my latest read and it was FANTASTIC. I LOVED this book and my review will be up soon! It was so original, gritty and intriguing! I will definitely havve to borrow the rest o the series from my library in the future!

What do you think you’ll read next?

This won’t come as a suprise as I actually own this series, so I will be reading the rest of the Shades Of Magic books after finishing the first one!

That was my week! What was your favourite read this week?? Let me know! Happy Reading BookNerds!😊💜📚

    • It is indeed! Ahh yes, it is a fantastic book, Red Rising is one I am so glad I read!
I had heard a lot about VE Shcwab as well this is the first of her works I have ever read, so I am very excited! Hope you get the chance to read some of her work! 😊💜

  1. I was let down by ADSOM, but I also think I hyped myself up for it so it’s not surprising I was let down from too high of expectations. But I am so excited to read Red Rising. It’s been on my tbr for about 3-4 years now and I still haven’t gotten to it 🙈

    • That’s fair, I am trying to not over hype it, I do like it so far! I have heard the books get better as they go on. Ahh Red Rising is fantastic from the world building to the characters! 😂🙈 I hope you get to read it soon, I’d love to see what you think! 😊💜

  2. Glad you’re enjoying ADSOM, I’m one of the seemingly very few people that were underwhelmed by it ooops! Sorry the Emily St John Mandel book didn’t work out. I really want to read her book Station Eleven. Have you read that one?

    • I have heard a few people were underwhelmed by it, the other books apparently are stronger. 😊 Glass Hotel was so well written but unfortunately the twists and the build up were a little underwhelming for me. No I haven’t, I do want to though her writing is amazing and apparently Station Eleven is very good 😊💜

  3. I’m so glad that you loved Red Rising! 😍 But I’m sorry that you felt a little disappointed by The Glass Hotel. I had just added it to my TBR today (and Station Eleven by the same author), so it’s a little disappointing for me too! I hope you love your next reads more! 💖💖
