Christmas Songs Book Tag

I saw this Christmas Songs Book Tag over on forbookssakes blog, This tag was originally created by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This tag looked like a lot of fun so I thought I would give it a go!! I hope you enjoy!

1 – “All I Want for Christmas Is You”: Favourite bookish couple.

I have said it before and I will say it again! I love these two so I am choosing them!

2 – “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”: Name a book where a character is away from home (school, vacation, etc.).

Since I am a HP nerd I had to go with Harry Potter for my answer!

3 – “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”: Name your favourite “little” book (children’s book, short story, novella, etc.).

I love all things Roald Dahl, I also enjoy Great Gatsby, and The Strange Case Of Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde. I am not usually a lover of short books, but as a child I adored Roald Dahl’s work and I studied both The Great Gatsby and The Strange Case Of Jekyll And Hyde and found I enjoyed them so they are my answers!

4 – “Santa Claus is Coming to Town“: What book(s) do you hope Santa brings you this year?

Mistborn or The Book Of Dust! I gave these answers on another post but I really would love to see these (and the follow up books) under my Christmas Tree!! I have heard such great things about them so!!!

5 – “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”: Which book turned your nose red (made you cry)?

The Fault In Our Stars/Marley And Me. Marley and Me I read when I was a lot younger and it definitely made me cry, TFIOS I read as a teen and it broke my heart.

6 – “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”: Your favorite book/kind of book to read during the holidays.

Re-reads!! I have discussed this a lot recently, so I will leave my answer as just Re-Reading my favourites!

7 – “We Three Kings”: Your favourite trilogy.

Hunger Games. I love a lot of series/triologies, but Hunger Games was one of the first significant triologies I read that really blew up and became popular and I will forever love them!

8 – “Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow”: A character you would love to be snowed in with.

(So I am stealing Forbookssakes answer for the same reasons) Newt Scamander! First of all we are both Hufflepuffs so um YES! And also, as forbookssakes said, he has a case FULL of Magical Creatures and I definitely want to see them all so I am stealing this answer because it is so awesome!

9 – “Last Christmas”: A book that seriously let you down.

Catcher In The Rye. So I heard a lot about this before I picked it up. It was highly recommended so I decided to give it a shot but I just really could not get with it. I really did not like the main character or his inner dialogue and it just bored me a little. I was very disappointed because it is very popular, but perhaps I will give it another go at some point…. maybe.

10 – “White Christmas”: An upcoming release you’re dreaming about.

The Court of Miracles, by Kester Grant. Look at this GORGEOUS cover. This story sounds so amazing and as soon as I saw the proofs on twitter I knew I had to check it out. I read the synopsis on Netgalley and it sounds like a magnificent read so I am really hoping I get approved for this one, if not I will definitely try to get a copy becuase it sounds just like my type of read.

So some of my answers are very brief but it is because I have answered some of these before on my Jingle Bell BookTag post…I think? But, I hope you enjoyed this one anyway! I wont be tagging people specifically for this one, so if you think it is fun then feel free to do it and tag me so I can see your answers too!

What new upcoming release are you most excited for?? Let me know! Happy Reading BookNerds! 😊💜📚
