I was tagged by the amazing and wonderful Nikita at Prose and Pacakes. Make sure to check out their blog because it is super fun and awesome!! The tag was created by Ariel Bissett -BookTuber! So, the end of the year is here already and I honestly cannot believe how quickly it has flown by and this tag is a brilliant way to round it off. Let’s get stuck in then shall we?
Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
Nothing specific just yet! But I am sure my December TBR will leave me with one or two books to finish in the new year!
Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?
I don’t really read books according to the season, so there isn’t one I use to transition specifically. But, at the end of the year I do like to re-read some old favourites so that really signifies the end of the year for me and usually I start off with Pride and Prejudice followed by Harry Potter!
Is there a new release youβre still waiting for?
I have a lot of newish books on my christmas and birthday list, and many new books I want to buy myself. But I am waiting for some 2020 releases on Netgalley to be *hopefully* approved! Feathertide, by Beth Cartwright; The Silent Treatment, by Abbie Greaves; Grace Is Gone, by Emily Elgar – but I could be denied then I would wait for their release!
What are the three books you need to read before the end of the year?
The Sight of You, by Holly Miller |
The Glass Hotel, by Emily St John Mandel |
The Silent House, by Nell Pattison |
These are all 2020 releases that it would be nice to get around to before the year ends, so they are on my TBR!
Is there a book that could still shock you and become your favorite of the year?
Possibly, depending on what I am gifted at Christmas/ on my birthday. Since the other newer books I have are 2020 releases that I may or may not finish this year it is unlikely they will top my already read books!
Have you already started making reading plans for 2020?
Yep! I plan to finish my 2020 eARC’s and any I get approved as well as re-read the Mortal Instruments series, other than that I have no specific plans (though I am likely to try and read more of my books I already own or receive over the holidays!) I have some wider plans though that are yet to be set in stone but will be super fun!
Thats my take on the End of Year BookTag! I hope you enjoyed my answers. This was pretty fun to do and I look forward to getting stuck into some of the books I mentioned. What was your favourite book of the year (so far at least)?? Let me know! Happy Reading BookNerds! πππ
I tag:
If you have already done this tag then sorry!! There is no obligation but if you do have fun and feel free to tag me so I can see your answers!
Thanks for the tag! I’ve read some great books this year and I can narrow it down to three favourites – Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano, Don’t Even Breathe by Keith Houghton, and Here To Stay by Mark Edwards. I’ll get this written up at some point soon!

Thanks for the tag KB!!! I’m like you in that I don’t read books according to any season but I do sometimes like to pull out my Austens at Christmas for a happy reread.
I actually just read The Silent Treatment, finished it late last night. It’s a very emotional read but I think it was a little too heavy for me and my current mood (just a stressful month really) But I do hope you get the arc so we can discuss it properly later :)))) <333

ooh really? I have heard it is quite emotional! Definitely need to be in the right mood for such a read – If I get it I will be sure to mentally prepare myself! Its a shame it was too heavy for you at that time, but hopefully I do get it so we can discuss!ππππ

Amazing answers and books! I just looked up The Sight of You by Holly Miller and read the description and I had to add it to my TBR!!! I’ll have to request it if it’s available. ππ

Thank you!! I was so thrilled when The Sight Of You got approved for me on netgalley!! It sounds like a very emotional read though so I am preparing myself for it!! It seems like a great choice to branch out into a more romance focused genre so I am super excited! I hope you get the chance to read it too!! πππππ₯°π₯°

I’ll have to search if it’s still available! I hope it is because I really love the blurb and the coverπ! I love emotional reads (but not every time lol). That’s so good ππ I always read the same kind of books and need to read more of these (and fantasy) to branch out. I’ve been planning to lately though. I hope so too! And I hope you love it. ππβ€ππ
