#Spooktober Reads And Movies To Indulge In! #Spooky


So, it is that time of year again where we can revel in the spooky and the creepy! Halloween is on it’s way and many of us bookish people are indulging in some delightfully creepy reads. Today, however, I will give you a sneak peek into some of my past and present spooky reads and movies! Happy Halloween month my BookNerds 👻 🎃

Let me start of with some Spooktacular (ha) reads!

Spooky Books I have read in the past:

Carrie, by Stephen King – A Classic, short and delightfully horrifying read.

Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley – One of my classic rec’s, an all around creepy Gothic delight!

Dracula, by Bram Stoker – Another classic rec- Gothic, creepy, and bloody- oh and Vampires!

Black House, by Stephen King and Peter Straub- A creepy, weird, dark and twisted read.

Spooky reads I have read recently:

The Widow Of Pale Harbor (Harbour), by Hester Fox– Gothic, secrets, murder and torment! (Out October 17th!)

Mistletoe, by Alison Littlewood– Isolation, ghostly visions and riddled with grief. (Out October 10th!)

IT, by Stephen King– A book I am currently reading, popular, creepy, and a killer clown – need I say more.


Spooky Movies that will get you into the Halloween feeling!

For Halloween I usually end up going to a friends for her annual Halloween gathering! Filled with pumpkin carving, Halloween treats, and a night of spooky movies – what could be better? So- here are some of our Halloween watches/planned watches:
